    PVP in a nutshell.

I know there are many people who see the term *PVP (player vs player) cringe and avoid anything tagged with it like the plague. If you're not prepared, it can leave a bad taste in your mouth.

At the very core of PVP you have a simple game of action vs reaction. And I'm not talking about the reaction you get with your first shot of cheap tequila. I'm talking about one player's actions, prompting a reaction from another player or group of players. ...

  2. A bit of nostalgia for the old timers.

What do modern MMO's lack that the classics didn't?
Some of these "classics" for me were games like:
    Bard's Tale
    Dungeon Master
    Zork I-II-III
    Pool of Radiance
    Eye of the Beholder

"Revelations, a ton of bricks, one cup of coffee later - Adventure was reborn."

As I sat down to breakfast this morning and contemplated my next quest to begin creating in the Neverwinter foundry; I began to ask myself what ...

  3. Immigrant in the Family - Set Phasers to Phasey

    by , 04-01-2013 at 02:30 PM
For this entry, I'm going to talk about phases. Periods in my life where I've been gung-ho on random stuff, only to eventually have that interest crash and burn.

Over the last few years (and rapidly over the last couple of weeks), I've decided that the United States of America has a huge problem with its citizens 'losing their faith' so to speak.

Now yes, the US is a big country, and it's to be expected that there is a broad spectrum of views from its citizens. In my situation, ...

  5. Immigrant in the Family - A Backstory

    by , 03-21-2013 at 04:23 PM
This blog is going to be a little different. Okay, a lot different as you can tell by the title. I figured maybe some people would be interested in seeing an immigration in action, so I'll start this little blog series, which I titled "Immigrant in the Family".

    So, to start: the details.

I, Haldri, currently a citizen of Minnesota, am moving to Sweden. Not a big change, you say? Well, it kind of is. More on that in a later blog.

    The primary reason ...
