Hey, want to be sure I understand this correctly - gems purchased pre-launch will be credited to account at launch? So this is tied to the "free" gems I guess? In other words, you gave your cc info, altho nothing was actually charged, to get the 2,000 (I think) gems each BWE to spend - and you will have these at your disposal at launch?

Seems a bit odd, so wanted to be sure I didn't misread.

There will be no free gems in BWE3. Any gems you want to play with will have to be bought with real cash. Though the data will be wiped prior to early access, the gems will be returned to your account

My impression is-

Everything in the past is wiped for this BWE, including the free gems.
The actual, live gem shop will be activated for this BWE, and you can buy them.

At early release, you'll have the extact, total number of gems that you bought in the live, active gem shop, and your contacts.
Anything you bought with the gems will be wiped, but the actual total number of gems you bought will remain for release.
So you could buy 100 gems, buy something with those gems, and you'll have those 100 gems at release, and your contacts.

AWESOME!! That means you can buy gems and get items and if you find out you didn't like those purchases, you can get something else later on! So I guess If I'm ever going to want to purchase gems, I should do it during this weekend
