Vent tips:

Vent Normalization makes everyone's voice the same exact volume. In essence if someone yells over Vent and you are wearing headphones, it won't blow out your eardrums.

Here's how (if you don't know):

• 1. Open Vent go to setup
  2. Enable Direct sound.
  3. Select the SFX button.
  4. Select Compressor and click Add
  5. select compressor and click Properties.
  6. Change the following to the these settings:
  
  • a. Gain: Adjust for how loud you want people to be (set to like 10-15, your preference).
    b. Attack: 0.01
    c. Release: Approximately 500
    d. Threshhold: Approximately -30
    e. Ratio: 100
    f. Pre Delay: 4.0
  
  

Everyone should now sound the same level. You adjust your inbound and outbound when you want everyone to sound louder.

Yes this is the only place.

There is now a tab on the right side of the forum with the vent status in it.

Is anyone else having a problem connecting to vent? I log in, it connects...I sit in the lobby for a second...and it kicks me. I checked my settings per Tower's suggestion and everything looked ok. Phantom suggested checking my connection so I'm going to do that tonight when I get home.
